Unarmed Security Officer
- Pay: Between $18.50 and $19.13 Hourly
- Full Open Availability required
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Protect people and property by delivering high-quality security services
- Possess a FL. D Security License
- Maintain proficiency in the use of protective equipment.
- Maintain order and enforce regulations and directives for the site.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, employees, and guests.
- Greet and assist guests and employees
- Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle
- Answer phones and monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.
- Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances
- Handle security issues and emergency situations.
- Participate in security/safety training programs.
- Stay familiar with site-specific operations performance manual and post orders.
Physical and Mental Functions:
- Stand or walk constantly on various surfaces
- Occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck
- Lift or carry up to 40 pounds as needed
- Run as necessary
- Use hands and arms constantly
- Use eyes with a normal level of vision
- Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions
- Maintain mental alertness and attention to detail
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Posses Security D License
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
- Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions
- Successful completion of background investigation and drug test
- Maintenance of all required licenses at all times
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Flexibility in adapting to different situations
- Intermediate computer skills
- Satisfactory attendance and punctuality
- Neat and professional appearance
- Ability to handle common and crisis situations
- Ability to speak, understand, and clearly communicate in English
- Ability to handle the pressure of working with the general public
