Job Description: Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Mid Level Technical Writer to support the development of technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, training materials, and operational documentation supporting U.S. Coast Guard systems and Moodle LMS environments.
Duties: - Develop technical manuals, SOPs, and training documentation
- Document workflows, configurations, and operational procedures
- Support proposal and compliance documentation efforts
- Translate technical concepts into user-friendly materials
- Assist with knowledge transfer and training support activities
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or related field
- 3–5 years of technical writing experience supporting federal programs
- Experience developing IT and cybersecurity documentation
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and software development documentation
- Strong editing, formatting, and document management skills
- Experience supporting DHS or DoD environments preferred

Salary Range: Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $85,000.000-$95,000.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
