Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Grandville, MI

Salary Range: $41,000 - $61,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately document and record all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging materials according to order specifications.
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe handling of goods.
• Maintain organized and clean shipping and receiving areas.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting procedures.
• Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and scanning equipment
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying shipments
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 lbs)
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills

Bonus Qualifications

• - Forklift certification
• - Experience with inventory management software
• - Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• - Familiarity with hazardous material handling procedures
