Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic International is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational performance and ensure our systems effectively enable business needs. The Business Analyst will partner with stakeholders to define objectives, map and improve workflows, analyze data, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and end-to-end solutions from discovery through deployment. This position requires the ability to travel to Rochester approximately once per month, as needed.

  • Provides business analysis services at the site and/or enterprise level with initiatives and project work in operations, practice, work units, technical areas, suppliers, and others. 
  • Understands and considers both the business and the technical needs of customers with the goal of providing quality products, processes and follow-up that meets business objectives in alignment with strategy. 
  • Examines costs, benefits and risks associated with proposed and ongoing initiatives and / or projects and recommends solutions and enhancements throughout the business life cycle. 
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and users to synthesize and consolidate information, articulate and document business objectives, workflows, requirements and proposes data driven solutions by applying system and analytical thinking methodology and discipline. 
  • Proficient understanding of business planning principles and strategy and applies the same to project work. Focus areas may include but not be limited to endeavors that address and drive: mission, strategy, goals, targets, objectives, technology, and management.
  • Contributes to project charter and plans, work assignments, target dates, and other aspects of assigned projects. 
  • Applies systems engineering methodologies and discipline throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Performs data analysis, defines and documents business requirements, supports translation to functional specifications early in the development cycle, and concludes with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete system. 
  • Assists leadership and project manager/s with coordinating deployment of deliverables. 
  • Demonstrates system and analytical thinking capability. 
  • Progressive knowledge and demonstrated use of business analysis methodologies and tools. 
  • Maintains effective correspondence and in-person communication. 
  • Builds credibility, rapport and partners with others to understand their needs and provides conflict resolution, problem solving, and ability to drive consensus. 
  • Works in partnership with stakeholders to develop a solid knowledge base of business needs. 
  • May manage projects of mid-level complexity, which could include subcomponents of larger-scale projects as directed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and 6 years experience in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information science, health or science-related field OR Master’s and 2 years experience in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information science, health or science-related field. 
  • CBAP Certified Business Analysis Professional, CCBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis, or PMI-PBA Professional in Business Analysis preferred.

Compensation Detail

The range for this position is $97,448 - $136,448 per year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
