PART-TIME EVENING & WEEKEND FAMILY ASSISTANT
Location: Private Residence – Corpus Christi, TX Start Date: Last week of April / First week of May Position Type: Part-Time, Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule
Weekday evenings: Approximately 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM Weekends: Approximately 8–12 hours total across Saturday and Sunday, with variable start and end times. The full weekend schedule for the upcoming month will be shared a couple of weeks in advance.
About the Role
A family in Corpus Christi is seeking a reliable and nurturing part-time family assistant to help with evening routines, household tasks, and childcare for two young children (a 2-month-old infant and a 2-year-old toddler). This role provides hands-on support during busy weekday evenings and on weekends.
Responsibilities
Childcare – Feed, soothe, and engage with a 2-month-old infant and a 2-year-old toddler – Assist with bedtime routines and putting children down for the night – Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for both children
Household – Meal preparation and kitchen cleanup (dishes, dishwasher, counters) – General tidying, cleaning, and organization – Laundry (washing, drying, folding) – Additional household tasks as needed
Errands – Occasional errands such as grocery runs, pickups, and package drop-offs
General – Provide flexible support with children or household tasks depending on the day's needs, including while parents are home
Qualifications
– Experience caring for infants and toddlers (strongly preferred) – Comfortable and confident with newborn care – Able to manage a range of household tasks independently – Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy – Flexible with a schedule that may shift week to week – Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate, negotiable based on experience. Paid as an independent contractor (1099).
