Job Description

: Working Hours/Days: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (weekends as needed) Overview: The Marketing and Event Coordinator will participate as part of a team of professional, dedicated employees managing internal and external marketing and event efforts. This position must utilize skills including team-based interaction, project management, goal setting and administrative support. The Marketing and Event Coordinator must have the ability to work under pressure, demonstrate active listening and exhibit organizational skills. This is a demanding and diverse role that includes a mix of administrative tasks, project coordination and creative work. Basic Duties:
  • Create and manage project plans for various marketing and event activities.
  • Coordinate events, meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and organizing requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; managing mailing lists to ensure event success.
  • Provide administrative support to each member of the marketing and event teams as needed.
  • Maintain email lists for internal and external communications.
  • Track customer complaints and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Provide support in social media monitoring process as needed.
  • Assist in collating marketing materials as needed.
  • Maintain files for graphic related projects.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for completion of new and different requests.
  • Collaborate with other team members for strategic communications, creative services, social media and digital media planning and execution in support of marketing objectives.
  • Execute keen attention to detail to identify inconsistencies and inaccuracies
  • Process and file invoices properly and accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or 3 to 5 years of related work experience is desired.
  • Must possess a high level of creativity, energy, self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills are needed.
  • Proficient in Excel, PPT, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Willingness to travel to events and other store locations. Significant travel required during busy season.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Must possess a positive, can-do attitude with the desire to work as a team player but also able to work independently.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

This position will split between working in an office environment and traveling to events/other store locations. There will be times when you are required to go out into the service and warehouse area and will be required to wear close-toed shoes and safety glasses in designated areas. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Traveling is needed to attend events and visit other store locations. Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 20 lbs. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
