You will partner closely with attorneys, business professionals, and client stakeholders to plan, execute, and optimize legal work. As an LPM, you will ensure that matters are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client priorities while fostering transparency, communication, and continuous improvement.

The Day-To-Day:

On any given day, you will be working with firm leadership, partners, and business colleagues on a variety of requests and projects related to the delivery of legal services for complex, high profile client engagements. You will:

  • Serve as a client‑focused project leader, partnering with legal teams to design and deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions aligned with client goals and expectations.
  • Act as a primary point of coordination for clients, ensuring regular communication, proactive status updates, and responsive issue resolution.
  • Leverage project management tools, methodologies, and best practices to guide matters from initiation through completion.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the design and implementation of custom process or technology solutions for client-facing initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, manage timelines, track budgets, and ensure project risks are identified, communicated, and addressed.
  • Prepare scoping documents, matter budgets, pricing assumptions, and forecasts in collaboration with attorneys and business partners.
  • Build trusted working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams across practice groups and industries.
  • Develop and deliver data-driven insights through strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Participate in SeyfarthLean initiatives such as process mapping, data collection and analysis, workflow improvement, and integration of knowledge management or technology tools.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites or other firm offices to support engagements, workshops, or relationship-building activities.
You Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of legal project management or comparable formal project management experience.
  • PMP certification (or ability to obtain within the first year of employment).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity of Lean/Six Sigma and/or other process improvement principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to interact confidently with clients, attorneys, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs, manage expectations, and resolve issues with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI technologies to analyze information, draft content, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
