Job Description

Are you passionate about transforming records management processes and driving organizational excellence? Join our team as we revolutionize how Life & Health Reinsurance manages critical information assets. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to lead regional initiatives while contributing to global program success in an environment where your expertise will directly impact business efficiency and compliance.

About the Role

This newly created role will drive key elements of L&H Re Records Management and represent L&H in the Group Records Management Enhancement Program. The role combines regional accountability with global program involvement and plays a critical part in embedding the future Records Management Target Operating Model (TOM) within L&H Re.

In this role, you will help transition L&H Re from legacy remediation towards a sustainable, business-integrated Records Management capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead remediation efforts for high-priority Records Management issues in the region and as part of the global team, including reducing physical records backlog, reviewing unindexed boxes, and addressing legacy electronic records challenges.

  • Serve as a strategic gatekeeper between local business teams, Group Records Management, and CRES to ensure efficient coordination, clear accountability, and optimal resource utilization.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of physical and electronic records data, document issues, and track remediation and quality improvement initiatives with precision.

  • Drive knowledge sharing within L&H Re and across Group Records Management, ensuring valuable insights are incorporated into future TOM design and improvements.

  • Implement and champion the future Records Management TOM within L&H Re, fully aligned with the Group TOM, acting as a strong advocate across the business.

  • Take ownership of regional Records Management leadership, ensuring quality assurance activities and clear execution of local mandates.

  • Assess regional requirements, connect with local stakeholders, and promote adherence to DRM processes and guidelines.

  • Support integration of Group deliverables into regional business processes and ensure local adoption and operationalization.

  • Contribute strategically to planning, issue triage, risk identification, and structured execution across remediation and governance topics.

About the Team

Records Management is a new team as part of L&H Business Operations. We work with stakeholders across the entire L&H value chain, IT, as well as GDTO.  Key focus of this new team will be on solving the three following priority tasks for L&H Re:

  • Addressing potential legacy issues on physical and digital records

  • Implement future Records Management TOM design for L&H Re, aligned to the future Group Records Management TOM

  • Actively participate and represent L&H Re in the Group Records Management Enhancement Program

You will report to the Senior Project Manager.

About You

We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in complex environments and can translate strategic vision into practical implementation. You're a natural problem-solver who builds relationships across organizational boundaries and communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your analytical mindset and ability to drive results make you an ideal candidate to help shape our records management future.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Prior experience or exposure to Records Management or experience working in insurance or reinsurance on the L&H side.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex issues, engage constructively, and develop pragmatic solutions within defined governance frameworks

  • Strong capability to translate business requirements into high-level process improvements or system/tool change requests

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholder groups

  • Proven experience working across regions, divisions, and functions to develop accepted and sustainable solutions

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience in project management methodologies and tools

  • Background in compliance, information governance, or data management

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to records retention

The estimated base salary range for this position is $128,000 to $192,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.  This role is not eligible for visa support/relocation assistance.
