Now, we’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Confectioner to join our team and help carry on our tradition of excellence.
About Kilwins Kilwins is more than just a confectionery and ice cream shop—it’s an experience. Known for our hand-paddled Mackinac Island Fudge, gourmet chocolates, caramel treats, and freshly made waffle cones, we create a nostalgic atmosphere where every visit feels special. Our team members are at the heart of this experience, crafting our products with care and serving customers with kindness.
What You’ll Do as a Confectioner As a Confectioner at Kilwins, you’ll play a hands-on role in creating the high-quality sweets we’re famous for. Your responsibilities will include:
- Crafting our signature Mackinac Island Fudge on the marble table, using time-honored techniques.
- Hand-dipping chocolates and preparing a variety of gourmet confections.
- Making caramel treats like caramel apples, caramel corn, and sea-salt caramels.
- Assisting with the preparation of freshly made waffle cones and bowls.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure food safety and product quality.
- Engaging with customers by showcasing the confection-making process and sharing the Kilwins story.
What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field.
- A passion for crafting high-quality sweets and working with your hands.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product excellence.
- A friendly, customer-focused attitude with a love for creating memorable experiences.
- Reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new skills.
