The Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IRT) assists surgeons in endovascular cases within two endovascular hybrid suites in the operating room. Responsibilities include scrubbing into cases, running C-arms, maintaining equipment, and managing supplies. The role requires participation in storm teams and potential reassignment to different units.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting surgeons during endovascular cases.
- Running C-arms during open vascular cases.
- Maintaining Siemens equipment.
- Utilizing PACS for imaging.
- Maintaining inventory and stocking supplies.
- Setting up equipment and prepping access sites.
- Maintaining a sterile field.
- Accurate monitoring of patients.
- Performing Angioplasty, Aortography, Embolization, Endograft placement, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement/removal, Inferior vena cavogram, Mesenteric Angiogram, Pelvic angiography, Renal Angiography, Selective visceral angiography, Stent placement, Superior vena cavogram, Carotid Stenting, Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision, Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots), Endovascular Interventions, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy.
- Using Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose).
- Adhering to Isolation Precautions and Sterile Technique.
- Participating in storm teams and hurricane teams as assigned.
- Reporting to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT (R and VI OR R and CV) certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience with Laser Assisted Procedures
- Experience with PACS
- Experience with Philips, Siemens, and Ultrasound equipment
- Experience with Fluoroscopy
- Experience with Accurate monitoring
- Experience with Equipment set up
- Experience with Prep access site
- Experience with Scrub- maintain sterile field
- Experience with Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with Isolation Precautions
- Experience with Sterile Technique
- Experience with c-ARM
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Traveler experience (unit does not accept first-time travelers)
Special Considerations:
- RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
- Call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation.
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team.
- Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
- Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur, and contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
Scheduling:
- 4x10-hour shifts, 0630-1700
- Call requirement: one night a week and every third weekend
