Executive Pastry Chef – Weckerly’s Ice Cream

Weckerly’s Ice Cream is a growing company rooted in scratch-made ice cream and pastry. We pasteurize our own dairy, bake everything in-house, and produce every ice cream sandwich and scoop with care and intention. Our work is seasonal, creative, and driven by quality.

We’re looking for an Executive Pastry Chef to lead our production kitchen. In this role, you’ll manage a team of talented bakers and ice cream makers, guide day-to-day kitchen operations, and help shape our seasonal menus and product offerings. We're seeking someone who loves working with their hands, thrives in a leadership role, and is excited to help grow a thoughtful, values-driven business.

What You’ll Do

• Creative in their approach to developing a unique, inspirational set of flavors and seasonal menu planning 
• Energetic and enthusiastic and possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Effective at managing a diverse staff
• Plan and execute weekly and mid-term production schedules 
• Oversee production of ice cream, baked goods, and novelties 
• Manage inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
• Hire, train, and mentor team members
• Maintain food safety standards and Department of Agriculture compliance

Qualified candidates will have:

• 4+ years of kitchen management, ideally in pastry or high-end production
• A solid understanding of all aspects of a top Pastry Department operation (ordering, scheduling, production, plating, etc.)
• Must be energetic & enthusiastic and possess strong communication & organizational skills
• Prior degree in Baking and/or Pastry from an accredited culinary university preferred
