Purpose of the Job:

• Ardagh Metal Packaging-North America is seeking a Marketing & Communications summer intern to assist in creating engaging content and supporting design projects to enhance our brand and execute our strategy within the metal beverage can industry. The position requires a creative communicator with basic writing skills, graphic design experience and the ability to collaborate successfully with others.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Contribute to all aspects of content creation, including writing, editing, and proofreading of internal and external communications, such as emails, presentations, graphics, social media posts, and other materials, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone
• Support for written corporate communications, social media, light design work and small project management to promote our brand and sustainability efforts.
• Support the design of visuals, infographics, and presentations using basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar).
• Coordinate small projects by communicating with stakeholders across our 10 North American locations.
• Support Sustainability functions and DEI functions as onsite support for events and culture-related projects.
• Support various stages of media production, including sourcing stock footage, audio tracks and motion graphics.
• Support general administrative and project-based tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree from a 4-year accredited university
• 3.0 GPA- highly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience conducting research
• Self-starter
• Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently 
• Ability to follow policies and procedures

The starting hourly base rate for this role is $21.00 and goes up to $24.00 dependent on years of service within the company. The company also offers a Success Share Bonus that is dependent on the plant?  meeting certain metrics and targets. Please note that the range for the rate provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final rate will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
