Our client is a long-established public accounting firm in Sanford, Florida that provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. The firm is known for long-term client relationships, strong ethical standards, and a supportive, family-friendly culture.
They are seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple client accounts.
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for assigned clients
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Maintain general ledger and post journal entries
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare trial balances and financial reports
Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Process payroll and related tax filings
Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns
Prepare and reconcile W-2 and 1099 filings
Assist with sales tax and other compliance filings
Ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Support firm leadership with financial reporting and analysis
Communicate professionally with clients on accounting matters
Support tax and audit teams with clean, organized financial records
Assist with or review work from junior accounting staff as needed
3–5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
CPA firm or public accounting experience preferred
High school diploma required
Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred
Strong QuickBooks Online experience required
Excel proficiency
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Strong communication and time-management skills
Professional, ethical, and discreet with confidential information
On-site role in Sanford office
Occasional client site visits may be required
Generally low to moderate overtime
Increased hours during tax season
Professional office setting with business casual Fridays
Base salary: $50,000–$70,000 (negotiable)
